VETMotorsports, a national non-profit whose mission is to honor and empower disabled veterans through active participation in motor sports, will wrap up their 2014 outreach in the AMA Pro Road Racing paddock this weekend. On Friday September 12th VETMotorsports will visit Dover Air Force Base to discuss the their program with the local chapter of the Green Knights Motorcycle Club. The program will then travel to New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) on Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 14th to embed disabled veterans into select AMA Pro Road Racing teams. The teams supporting VETMotorsports will be Mullins Cycle Works, D&D Cycles / Castrol / Triumph and Foremost Insurance / Pegram Racing.

On Sunday Spike TV will document VETMotorsports’ non-clinical veteran outreach in the AMA Pro Racing paddock. The filming will be part of a larger veterans initiative by Spike TV entitled Veterans Operation Wellness (VOW). The VOW campaign is intended to; inspire veterans to lead active and healthy lifestyles; to spread the word about VETMotorsports’ unique program; and to encourage viewers to make tax-deductible donations. The video footage will be shown on Spike TV and it’s media outlets throughout the VOW campaign.

“VETMotorsports can’t think of a better way to end our 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing outreach. We’ll have some incredible teams collaborating with us all year, and the final race event held at New Jersey is no exception. The teams will be providing some amazing opportunities for our disabled veterans. Spike TV’s involvement strengthens what we already know: that motor sports and motorcycling is a powerful, positive environment for veteran recovery. VETMotorsports is making a difference in the lives of our participants, and to be associated with the VOW program is humbling. VETMotorsports encourages those wishing to support our 2015 programming and funding goal by making a donation at https://www.crowdrise.com/VETMotorsports-VOW,” stated VETMotorsports Executive Director and Founder Peter Cline.
