Pirelli Moto lands on Twitter

@PirelliMoto account launches in time for Valentine’s Day with #ilovemymoto

Milan, February 12, 2015 – Pirelli Moto has launched its own dedicated Twitter account, @PirelliMoto, offering riders a new way to communicate with the brand and follow real-time updates on its involvement in the most important national and international two wheel competitions, Pirelli Moto brand initiatives and motorcycling news. The launch coincides with the start of the 2015 season of the Superbike World Championship in a few days, where Pirelli has been the Sole Tire Supplier since 2004.

The new Twitter channel also launches in time to celebrate St. Valentine, the feast of love par excellence. The motorcyclist is an enthusiast and a lover of his motorcycle foremost, therefore Pirelli Moto aims to recognize this with the #iLoveMyMoto campaign, which calls on all motorcyclists to tweet a photo with this hashtag to show their love for the motorcycle.

This Pirelli Moto initiative aims to spread the love of motorcycles worldwide, both on Valentine’s Day and year-round, through housing and retweeting messages with the #iLoveMyMoto hashtag from participating riders. Throughout the year, Pirelli Moto will ask fans, riders and VIP bike lovers to publish their own pictures with the hashtag #iLoveMyMoto.

The @PirelliMoto Twitter account joins Pirelli’s other active social media channels – Facebook, Youtube and Instagram – expanding the Italian company’s dialogue with consumers even further. Pirelli has created in the wake of its successful Pirelli Moto Facebook page, which now boasts more than 300,000 subscribers and the highest number of interactions in the motorcycle tire category.

The goal of Pirelli Moto’s social channels is to create more two-way communication with consumers and lovers of the motorcycle world, while taking advantage of the opportunities that the merging mobile and digital worlds present – such as with Pirelli’s DIABLO™ Superbiker app, which informs motorcyclists of activities, news and answers on using Pirelli products. This builds a growing partnership with the lovers of Pirelli tires. Pirelli values the opinions of those who use its tires daily and considers rider feedback as fundamental for the design of its future products, which features evolving technologies to meet these very needs of motorcyclists.
