Heading into the round at Miller Motorsports Park, Mesa is 10th in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship standings with 35 points and a best race finish of fifth and Eslick is eighth in the Championship standings with 72 points and top-five finishes in all six of his races with the team. Following the original posting of this story, ezVerify TTR Honda Team Owner Gerald Glass, who is not at Miller Motorsports Park due to a family emergency, clarified the situation with Mesa.

“Stefano is a contracted TTR rider,” he wrote in a statement relayed to Roadracingworld.com via his team. “We are currently working on a bike that will be best suited for him and where he will be comfortable and continue to improve in the Pro ranks.”

As for the reason Mesa is not riding at Miller Motorsports Park, Glass wrote: “The bike that Mesa was comfortable with was not completed in time.”
