TEAM TRACTION CONTROL READY FOR THRUXTON BURN UP

Team Traction Control return to action this weekend at Thruxton in Hampshire as the Motorpoint British Supersport and Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship contenders get set for the fastest circuit on the calendar.

Andy Reid and James Rispoli are gunning to add to their podium tally this weekend, with the circuit promoting some of the closest action on the calendar thanks to the high-speed flat out nature. The pair are determined to close down their title rivals and are preparing to battle it out in the two races this weekend.

In the Superstock class Joe Francis is determined to push forward this weekend as he aims for a return to the podium after missing out at Brands Hatch last time out.

Rispoli said: “I think we are in great shape for Thruxton, we were just two tenths off the fastest lap at the last round and I think at Thruxton it is harder to get away so I don’t think this is a circuit where anyone will have a particular advantage. I feel really confident going into this weekend and we have been getting closer to the leaders in each of the recent events so I think there will be a big group of us battling at the front on Sunday. The Yamaha I feel should be a god package for the circuit and we have a good plan to try and close the gap and get back on the podium this weekend.”

Reid said: “I can’t wait to get cracking this weekend and I am getting fitter all the time after my injury so we should be ready to mix it up again at Thruxton. I want to be pushing for the podium and the goal is always to be pushing for the wins.”

Francis said: “I definitely think the Yamaha will be strong this weekend at Thruxton and after Brands Hatch I want to be back and fighting for the podium. I think it is hard to break away here and so if we can have a good qualifying session and get in the mix from the beginning we should be in a good position for the races.”
