James ‘The Rocket’ Rispoli set for X Games debut in Minneapolis

MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship rider James Rispoli will make his X-Games debut this July as the 25-year-old Floridian lines up in the Flattrack event at Minneapolis.

Rispoli is a multiple National Championship-winning motorcycle rider in his native America, a runner up Pro Flattracker all before moving to the British series where he is part of the official Kawasaki ‘Team Green’ line-up for the Quattro Plant FS-3 Kawasaki team.

The invite came as a welcome surprise as Rispoli continued to use flattrack in the UK as a way to stay sharp, fit and ready for action for this road racing career. Rispoli is excited to be riding for Alan Rodenborn, Racing Unlimited Team on their custom framed Kawasaki 650 twin.

Rispoli flies directly to the United States right after this weekend’s British Superbike event at Snetterton to meet the Racing Unlimited Team for a private practice track day.

Rispoli said: “I am stoked to be getting involved in the X-Games for the first time to race flattrack. It is such a new big event and while I race overseas now in the UK it’s going to be awesome to get back and compete in front of the home fans. I am really grateful for the invite and to be the first British Superbike rider to line up at this event is fantastic for me, all our sponsors and of course my fans from around the world.”
