The voicesofmontereybay.org website is reporting that long-time race event promoter and track management expert Chris Pook has filed a complaint with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) over Monterey County awarding a contract to manage Laguna Seca to a new company founded by a hotel executive with no motorsports experience. Pook’s complaint says that the Board of Supervisors had already decided to award the contract to political donor and hotelier John Narigi before it issued a request for proposals and held a public hearing.
