The Indian FTR 1200 S is big, smooth, and raw. Riding it is like traveling on a time machine heading into the past and the future at the same time. It is somehow both retro and futuristic, combining styling cues from the past with state-of-the-art new technology.

Booming down the highway on the FTR 1200 S is a riding experience that evokes what contemporary motorcyclists might imagine was how it felt to ride an Indian decades ago, viewed through the lens of electronic rider aids, cruise control, and a touch-screen display.

The FTR is a species of its own, and it takes a moment to develop an appreciation for what Indian has created . . .
