Superbike Underground 2019 Team SBKUNDG announcement

Auburn, WA – Superbike Underground (SBKUNDG) is pleased to announce our 2019 motorcycle road racing team. Team SBKUNDG will compete in WMRRA and OMRRA fielding a three rider team consisting of Ryan “Chromie” Sutton, Jeremy Coffey and Scott Decker with Donald Beck at the helm as Team Manager and Crew Chief.

Ryan Sutton is returning to defend his dual overall championships with WMRRA and OMRRA aboard the BMW S1000RR in the open classes and the Yamaha R6 for 600 class competition. Ryan has also made the switch to Dunlop tires for 2019.

Ryan Sutton:

“I’m really looking forward to this season. I’m in the best physical shape of my life. I have incredible equipment underneath me thanks to the continued support of my longtime sponsors. And, I’m returning to the tire brand with which I won my first championships. The amount of effort Dunlop puts into the continual development of their product shows they push as hard as I do for results. Together, I think we can raise the bar a bit higher here in the NW.”

Jeremy Coffey will compete on the BMW S1000RR in the open classes and the Yamaha R6 in the 600 classes. In addition to his returning sponsors, ICON Motosports and Evol Technology have increased their support to ensure Jeremy has what he needs to be successful.

Jeremy Coffey:

“Last year, I had the speed to compete at the front – winning races and class championships – but consistency had been a problem. I hope to rectify that for 2019 so that we factor in for the overall standings as well. I’ve done considerable off-season rider training and worked on my fitness to ensure that not only can I get to the front but I can stay there as the laps wind down.”

Additionally, veteran racer, Scott Decker, will be returning to NW racing in the open classes on his MotoAmerica Stock 1000 spec Yamaha R1M as well as competing on a new Yamaha R1M based superbike.

After a season spent in MotoAmerica competition as a Crew Chief in the Superbike class, Donald Beck will be bringing his engine and chassis tuning technologies and data analysis expertise back to the Pacific NW for 2019. Donald brings a wealth of knowledge and experience accumulated over the last 21 years of road racing that has resulted in ten overall #1 titles in AFM, OMRRA and WMRRA – including six consecutive WMRRA championships with three different racers.

Donald Beck:

“Being on the road for most of last year with MotoAmerica meant putting off the build out of our new shop location until the off season. We finally got to it though and completed installing our engine room, dyno and test cell. Our new tuning center ensures that we can do virtually everything in house to prepare our team equipment for competition. We are also very excited to be able to offer our services to the public beginning in March of this year.”
