In a competition bulletin released Wednesday, MotoAmerica
announced that it will allow the use of Supersport 300 World Championship
(WSS300) Control Electronic System kits during the 2020 Liqui Moly Junior Cup Championship
and that teams can begin using the kit on a limited basis during the
event September 7-8 at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

The basic WSS300 kit has a suggested retail price of €2,150 (or $2,396 U.S.) and includes
a dashboard, a Mectronik MKE Engine Control Unit (ECU), all the necessary switches,
and a wiring harness that can accommodate additional CAN-based devices, like a GPS receiver, a lambda
sensor, or a load cell for a quickshifter.

According to the technical bulletin, the new WSS300 electronic
system allows for data logging, closed-loop fuel tuning, and more while
providing the opportunity for teams to gain entry-level experience tuning electronic
systems.

The official supplier of the WSS300 Control Electronic
System kit is Solo Engineering (https://soloengineering.com/shop/),
and kits are available for immediate delivery, according to MotoAmerica.

In the same bulletin, MotoAmerica announced that it will follow
the 2019 FIM Supersport 300 World Championship technical rules during the 2020 Junior
Cup Championship except for the rules regarding spec tires and fuel. This means
that while the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship will only use the WSS300
Control Electronic Systems in 2020, MotoAmerica Junior Cup teams can continue
to use reflashed stock ECUs and HM quickshifters/rev limiters or use the new WSS300 kit electronics in 2020.
