Report: New York Safety Track Loses Legal Challenge

New York Safety Track, a one-year-old road course located between Harpersfield and Davenport, New York, that is owned and operated by a group of motorcycle enthusiasts, has lost a legal challenge to local residents.

According to an article posted at www.thedailystar.com, Friends of Rural Life, a group of 34 area residents, sued New York Safety Track LLC, the Harpersfield Town Board, the Harperfield Planning Board and others on a variety of issues. One issue was the fact that the track was not operating as it originally stated in presentations to town officials, according to the article.

Acting Delaware Supreme Court Judge Brian Burns has ordered New York Safety Track LLC to submit a new site plan application.
