Lots To Do For MotoAmerica Fans At Barber

On- and off-track activities set to entertain fans at Barber Motorsports Park

The MotoAmerica Series visits the pristine Barber Motorsports Park, June 12-14

COSTA MESA, CA, JUNE 8 – MotoAmerica is offering up plenty of on- and off-track activities for this coming weekend’s round five of the MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama, June 12-14.

In addition to the five classes of racing that will make up the Triumph AMA/FIM North America Superbike Challenge of Alabama, there’s plenty of other action scheduled for the weekend – both on and off the racetrack.

Activities get rolling on Thursday night, June 11 with a Bike Night at the Tilted Kilt in Birmingham (14 Permimeter Park South). The festivities begin at 7 p.m. on the back patio and will run through 11 p.m. with ticket and fan ride giveaways, display bikes and Erica Chambers on the acoustic guitar. And you never know what stars of the series you will run into at the Tilted Kilt.

Suzuki will host demo rides on its products all weekend, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12.

The Motorcycle Superstore Vending Fan Zone will open at noon on Friday, June 12 and will remain open for the duration of the weekend from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The MotoAmerica Fan Bicycle Challenge will take place on Friday afternoon from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with fans getting the opportunity to bicycle around the scenic, 2.38-mile Barber Motorsports Park.

On Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14, the Honda Strider Kid Zone will open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. in an area located close to the podium celebrations.

The Paddock Fan Lounge Bar will be open on both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a cash bar (beer, soda, snacks) sponsored by Miller/Coors.

On Saturday and Sunday, Kawasaki will show off its super-charged, 300 horsepower Kawasaki Ninja H2R with demonstration laps around the Barber racetrack. The bike will be on track from 11:50 a.m. to noon on Saturday and again on Sunday from 10:50 a.m. to 11 a.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, the XDL Street Jam Stunt Show will be on track from noon to 12:20 p.m. (Saturday) and 11:40 a.m. to noon (Sunday). The XDL Street Jam show will also take place at the conclusion of on-track activities on both days.

The Sin City of Atlanta band, presented by Big #1 Motorsports, will be on stage in the the fan zone from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The band will also perform the National Anthem on both days.

A motorcycle fan ride will be held on both days (5 p.m. on Saturday, 5:30 p.m. on Sunday) with fans getting the opportunity to ride their motorcycles around the 17-turn Barber Motorsports Park.

The Dunlop Fan Walk will take place on Sunday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. with legend Rich Oliver also taking the Dunlop Lap Of Honor during that time. In addition to all the stars of the MotoAmerica Series, Oliver will also be on hand to sign autographs during the fan walk.
