Andrea Iannone in Aragon to compare the two versions of the GP14; Hernandez celebrates one year with Pramac
The MotoGP makes a stop at Aragon before moving to Asia and Oceania. The Pramac Racing Team is going back on track after a fantastic weekend at Misano and wants to repeat the results on Spanish ground. The occasion is tempting because on Friday the new Ducati GP 14.2 will make its debut on track, ahead of schedule.
Andrea Iannone had the opportunity to test the new bike during the test on Tuesday at Mugello. Andrea had a good feeling from the start but still needs to make a comparison with the GP14 to know how much and how it has changed. We should not expect too much because from tomorrow Iannone will have both bikes, so in addition to routine work during practice he will work overtime to understand the differences between the two versions. Andrea hopes the new development will enable him to be able to confirm the excellent results obtained in qualifying in the race too, so to be able to give his maximum during the second half of the race.
Aragon is one of Yonny Hernandez favorite tracks, this is where he made his debut on the Ducati of Pramac Racing Team just a year ago. Yonny wants to celebrate this anniversary the best way possible reconfirming the top ten in qualifying and in the race. Yonny and his team will have to work hard to improve performance during the second half of the race where the Colombian ridere suffers a particular degradation of the rear tire.

“Aragon is a track where I’m good, I got to the podium in Moto2. I think I can have a good race, the Ducati this year has improved in all the tracks and we have the potential to do well here too. Tuesday I tried the GP14.2 at Mugello, it is not much different than the version I used so far. With the new bike I was immediately at ease and I like the riding position more. The bike is narrower than the GP14, my impressions are positive but we did not get to do a comparison. Here we have both bikes to really understand the differences.”
