Jake Zemke, Daytona Sportbike - Ducshop Racing Team
Recently it was announced that Jake Zemke will be returning to AMA Pro Racing on a Ducati 848EVO. A former dirt tracker, he made his AMA road racing debut in 1997 and has subsequently finished in the top 3 overall in the standings12 times, bringing him to the podium over 100 times during his professional career. In 2006 he won the Daytona 200, and finished third in the 2007 Superbike Championship. 2008 saw Jake crowned Formula Xtreme Champion while finishing second in the AMA Supersport championship. His 2010 season started with a bang, taking double wins in the Superbike class with the Jordon Motorsports Team as he went on to finish third overall in the championship. In 2011 he delighted fans when he took pole in the Daytona 200 on a non-factory bike. The rest of the season was spent across the pond, competing in the British Superbike Championship.
Richie Morris, Team Owner - RMR
Richie Morris announced last week that they would not be competing in the 2012 AMA Pro racing season. Morris has had tremendous success in AMA Racing winning two Daytona Sportbike Championships and two XR1200 Championships in the past three years. Unfortunately the team was not able to secure the sponsorship necessary to run a competitive team. Morris plans to focus on preparing for the 2013 season and making a return to defend the titles his team won in the past.
Josh Whitaker, CMO/Partner - D2M
As a partner of D2M (Direct to Manufacturing), Josh is responsible for business development, identifying and forging strategic alliances, and day-to-day marketing operations. Josh has 15+ years of business development, sales and marketing experience with top companies in the power sports and action sports industry such as KTM North America, Tucker Rocky Distributing and Red Bull Energy Drink.
Marvin Musquin, 250cc Rider - Red Bull KTM
Musquin won two straight MX2 World Championships before making the trip over to compete in the U.S. in 2011. His Outdoor Season was cut short after a top five in the opening round at Hangtown. At round two in Texas another rider made a mistake and crashed, breaking Marvin's thumb in the process. 2012 Supercross is the first full season he has been able to race so far and its going well. He sits fourth in points while the West Coast Lites take a break until they return to racing in April 21 in Seattle.
Steward Baylor, National Enduro and GNCC Rider - Ride PG/KTM
Baylor is on a roll in the National Enduro Series with two back-to-back wins at Round 1 in South Carolina and Round 2 in Georgia. The South Carolina round is primarily sand while the Georgia round was exceptionally muddy. His performance was so strong in the Georgia mud that he finished nearly two minutes ahead of second place. The AMA Rekluse National Enduro Series now heads to Salley South Carolina for round three of the series. Steward is also the 2011 GNCC XC2 Class Champion.
