Anne Roberts will kick off her full time 2017 race season this coming May in the CCS Florida Championship at Homestead Miami Speedway. Roberts will be contesting multiple 600cc classes on the Turbo Turtle Racing/EZ-Verify Yamaha R6, partnered with Dunlop tires.

Anne commented, “I came down to South Florida to test at Homestead with CCS during the 2016 season and I was blown away at the large grids and level of competition in the 600cc classes. Henry DeGouw runs a phenomenal show and that’s what draws so many fast riders from around the U.S. to race here. I knew I wanted to come back and race the series full time if I could put together a proper program for 2017. I love the club’s atmosphere and many of my sponsors are local, not to mention it’s close to home.”

After completing two full seasons in the Superstock 600 class with MotoAmerica, where Roberts had her season best finish of 8th place in 2016, she will seek to race in a few select rounds with MotoAmerica in 2017, beginning at Road Atlanta in April.

“Racing full time in the pro series for more than two years has been an incredible experience. The people I’ve met have been a driving force in my success and the skills I’ve acquired have taken my riding to a level I didn’t think was possible. Competing as a privateer while finishing college and owning/running a business took its toll and required some huge sacrifices. I’m simply ready for a refreshing year of fun without so much hustling and stress. I’m extremely excited about shifting my primary focus to CCS FL and abbreviating my pro race schedule because it will allow me to get much more seat time and really focus to make it count when I do go compete at a few of the MotoAmerica nationals.”

Anne makes it a point to train year round on road bikes, mountain bikes, and dirt bikes. “With the recent change of employment and a move, I have a little bit of a new lease on life. I’m looking forward to having a bit more time to train. I spent a lot of time at the Russell Ranch and Cornerspin last year honing my flat track skills and now I’m planning on entering some local flat track races and taking a shot at some hare scramble here in Florida. The world is my oyster and I want to do all I can. I am very much looking forward to the racing opportunity I have been given as well as anything else that comes my way this year.”
