Young Gun Profile: Ian Tetrick

© 2013, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc.

Earlier this year, Roadracing World ran a series of Young Gun Profiles, which featured Roadracing World Young Guns competing in AMA Pro Road Racing. This is a continuation of the Young Gun Profile series, which will now focus on the remaining Roadracing World Young Guns. These riders were also featured in the March 2013 Issue of Roadracing World. This week’s featured rider is Ian Tetrick. Roadracing World Young Gun Ian Tetrick moved up to the big bikes this season, racing a Honda CBR1000RR in WERA National Endurance competition in addition to racing his middleweights. His goal for 2013 was to win as many races and titles as he could – and so far, everything is going according to plan. The 15-year-old nailed down regional championships in three of WERA’s toughest Sportsman categories – the fiercely-competitive middleweight categories – before the season was even done. To that accomplishment, he added wins in CCS competition and a win in AMA Road Race Grand National Championship competition. Tetrick remains committed to his goal – becoming a professional road racer – and is looking forward to 2014, when he hopes to make his AMA Pro Road Racing debut.
