Massive prize money on offer for 2015 ASBK

Motorcycling Australia (MA) has today announced that an increased pool of prize money will be up for grabs at Rounds 2-5 of the 2015 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK).

Riders across the seven national classes of racing will compete for over $10,000 [$7705 USD] in prize money at each round, with the top ten in the Superbike category set to share in a prize pool of $3450.

The total prize pool across all classes can be found here.

The overall winner of the Superbike class at each round will pocket $1200 (up from $1000 last year), with the runner-up taking home $750 and third place claiming $500.

For the first time in the Supersport class, the winner stands to take home a four-figure prize packet of $1000, while $500 awaits the victor of the Moto3/125GP round.

The winners of the 250 Production, 300 Production, Women’s up to 300 Production and Unlimited classes will also win $300 respectively.

The announcement of an increased prize pool comes as yet another exciting development for the revamped Australian Superbike Championship; the nation’s premier road racing series.

Round 2 of the Australian Superbike Championship will take place at Morgan Park Raceway in Queensland from April 10-12.

2015 ASBK Calendar:

Round 2: Morgan Park (QLD) 10-12 APR
Round 3: Barbagello (WA) 22-24 MAY
Round 4: Symmons Plains (TAS) 4-6 SEP
Round 5: Phillip Island (VIC) 2-4 OCT
