Orion Motorsports is posting a $6,500.00 Pirelli motorcycle tire contingency at the 2015 Daytona 200

Atlanta, Georgia (USA), 4 March 2015 – Orion Motorsports and Competition Motorsports South are posting a $6,500.00 contingency program for riders racing on Pirelli tires at this year’s 74th annual Daytona 200 class event, sanctioned by the CCS.

This announcement highlights Pirelli’s strong commitment to Daytona 200, as well as its great success in recent years when the unique event has allowed open tire choice – including the last times in 2008 and 2009, where Pirelli riders Steve Rapp on the Attack Kawasaki and Chaz Davies on the Attack Kawasaki both achieved victories on Pirelli tires respectively.

In addition, Pirelli’s Daytona spec tires, which utilize the very best in WSBK innovation, helped propel Jason Farrell to two back to back Daytona ROC ASRA Sportbike wins in 2013 and 2014.

“For the last two years, Pirelli has been supporting our company and racers with Daytona specific tires based on its industry-leading WSBK technology and ongoing development gained from Daytona and other legendary racetracks.” Said Kevin Graham of Orion Motorsports.

The Daytona 200 payouts are 1st $2500.00, 2nd $1000.00, 3rd $750.00, 4th $600.00, 5th $500.00, 6th $400.00, 7th $300.00, 8th $200.00, 9th $150.00, and 10th $100.00.
