Just before the start of Saturday’s AMA Superbike race, Road Atlanta issued the following medical update on Doug Chandler:

“Doug Chandler will miss today’s Superbike race. He suffered a sprained ankle in a crash during qualifying today. X-Rays revealed no breaks, but he is back at the hotel resting this afternoon. He hopes to compete in Sunday’s Suzuki Big Kahuna race.”
