Eric Bostrom Flying To California To Have Immediate Surgery

From EB, “We came into Mid-Ohio knowing that it was going to be a long shot. Some of the most aggressive doctors in the country had told us after Laguna that we needed immediate surgery, but I didn’t feel like we could do that without giving it our best shot. Unfortunately, they were right. I got on the bike and my body just wasn’t able to do it. We weren’t as quick as we needed to be. I wasn’t physically able to manhandle the bike, or even do a good job of safely controlling it. I was basically out for a Sunday ride and that’s not my idea of racing.”

Eric Bostrom dictated the statement to his manager Norm Viano at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time while on his way to the airport in Columbus, Ohio. According to Viano, Bostrom is flying to have immediate surgery at the hands of famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. Arthur Ting.
