Former British Champion and multi race winner Alastair Seeley arrives at The STAUFF QUICK CONNECT ACADEMY to race the Teams Kawasaki ZX-10RR in the 2018 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.

Alastair is who is well known for his dogged race craft, bring his wealth of British Championship winning experience for another title attack in a class he has dominated in previous years. The ZX-10 is the 1000cc class front runner, winning the title twice in the last 3 years and with The Stauff Connect Academy ZX-10RR taking race wins and lap records in 2017, the duo make the perfect match for the short circuit championship which kicks of at Donington Park at Easter.

Alastair Seeley, “I am very happy to be joining Team WD-40 / STAUFF Quick Connect Academy onboard the Kawasaki ZX-10RR for another go at the Superstock 1000 Championship that I won in 2009 & runner up in 2015. A new team and crew is an exciting prospect and one I can’t wait to get involved with. The bike proved itself last year with a win and a lap record and with more performance for 2018 and a determined flyweight rider like myself on-board then things are looking good. I had a great time meeting the guys at STAUFF Ireland in Lisburn last week its good to have these guys behind our race effort.I hope to get testing underway in the next few weeks at UK tracks to familiarise ourselves with current temperatures & things that resemble what we could be faced with at round 1 come Easter weekend.

Iain Stansbie, Head of UK Marketing:- “STAUFF UK are delighted to join GR Motosport, Team WD40 and the family of sponsors in welcoming Alastair to the STAUFF QUICK CONNECT ACADEMY part of the team. Alastair lives close to our branch in Lisburn, County Antrim and his recent visit to meet the team there certainly stimulated further interest in the sport for the guys in the Ireland facility. Alastair’s “local hero” status, particularly in connection to the North West 200 will bring him an increased following from the STAUFF UK Group and further afield. We wish Alastair and his crew the best of luck for the season and also look forward to continuing our support of Mason Law on the Team WD40 Superbike.

Brent Gladwin, GR Motosport, Managing Director:- “Signing Alastair for the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 is a great move for GR and the Stauff Quick Connect Academy. The Wee Wizard has not only won the Championship before but has won races in just about every BSB Class. I personally but also the whole Team are looking forward to having Alastair race with us and we are looking forward to repeating past successes this time together.”
