As the cold weather begins to clear out over the continental United States, motorcycle roadracers and fans of the sport focus their attention on Daytona Beach, Florida. On the 15th of March, the American Motorcycle Association is presenting the 73rd running of the historic Daytona 200.

The spring time event is the eagerly anticipated kick-off of the 5 round AMA Pro Road Racing season.

Nobody is more excited for this premiere race weekend than Team H35. A brand new, North Hollywood based outfit that is led by AMA Pro Racing veteran Benny Solis and backed by Team Owner Humberto Baca. Having recently completed a series of successful tests in southern California, the team is confidently looking forward to hitting the famous banked corners of the Daytona International Speedway. Their freshly race-prepped 2014 Honda CBR600RR has been purposefully tuned to manage 57 grueling laps around the the 3.51 mile road racing course where speeds can top 175 mph!

Benny Solis – #35: “Honestly I don’t remember being so excited for a racing season! Thanks to our friend, Humberto Baca, we were able to build our own race team like when I did my first season in AMA, and now we have full control of everything. I’m working with a group of great and familiar guys which is a big confidence booster for me. Apart from that, my off-season has been great, we’ve attended all CVMA rounds and I also have been training more than ever, the opportunity to live with Jorge Lorenzo as well was great…I learned a lot and now I’m on a motorcycle working on my riding minimum 6 days a week. There’s a lot to look forward to and I can’t wait for the racing to start! I’m so fortunate to have this strong team behind me and it wouldn’t be possible without my Dad and Humberto Baca! Also a huge thanks to all of our supporters for this 2014 racing season: Humberto Baca, Alpinestars, Dunlop, Motul, Inhouse Suspension, Drippin Wet, Poncho Rangel, EXO Camera Cars, Zero Gravity, GPR Stablizer, Arai, SpeedCell, Renthal, RK Chains, Evol Technology, Catalyst Composites, Yoyodyne, Galfer, “Z”, Akrapovic, Taylor Made, and Moto Club di Santa Monica.”

Humberto Baca – Team Owner: “When I decided to put a team together for the 2014 AMA Pro Season, my choice for a teammate was an easy decision, Benny Solis! Although Benny and I have been friends for a short period, our friendship on and off the track grew at a fast pace. We’ve been able to put together a program that is nothing less than a factory effort and we go in to Daytona eager and ready to battle with all the top teams!”

This year’s Daytona 200 will not be televised, Team H35 encourages everybody to follow Benny on twitter @BennySolis35 for live updates all season long.
