The upcoming round at Brno/Czech Republic (21.-23. July) is almost a real home game for the Austrian based team. From Vienna it takes only two hours to go there and a lot of fans from Austria and Germany are expected to come. Alex Barros has excellent chances for a podium. He knows the track from the MotoGP races very well. In 2005 he was 4th to cross the checkered flag after Rossi, Capirossi and Biaggi. Brno is situated in the southern part of Bohemia. The track itself is a flowing layout of 5.394 kilometres surrounded by forests and meadows. The fast course is very technical. Long sections to open the throttle and combinations of fast and smooth turns are characteristic for Brno. A perfect mixture, as tailor-made for Alex Barros. Alex Barros: “žThe Brno race track with its wide turns is very smooth. It is interesting and very technical. The traction control is not so important there. But you need an engine with a lot of power. Nearly all the riders have been there for testing and have a good set-up for the track. So I’m sure it will be a tough race!” Team Manager Klaus Klaffenböck: “žBrno is the favourite race track of Alex and me. Mid of May we passed several encouraging days at Brno. Alex did some impressing lap times during the test. The whole team is very motivated especially after the excellent results at Misano where Alex finished 4th and 2nd. The conditions are perfect to take a podium again at Brno. “
