Rossi Moor’s performance was encouraging on the first day of Moto2 testing at the Motorland circuit in Aragon.
The adventure of the American-Hungarian rider Rossi Moor in the Moto2 category finally began at the official tests at Motorland in Aragon, tests carried out in preparation for next weekend’s race (12-13 October) of the JuniorGP that will be held on the same circuit.
It was exciting for Rossi, who for the first time in his career rode the Moto2 racebike of Massimiliano Morlacchi’s Team MMR.
The two-day test program includes five daily sessions of 40 minutes each in which Rossi and his team will have the opportunity to find the right setup to be competitive.
The first day went beyond expectations and Rossi was very fast, progressing in lap time in all sessions.
Unfortunately, due to the light rain that started to fall in the early afternoon, Rossi was unable to complete the day’s program, but the Team is still very happy with the results achieved.
Rossi has shown that he can learn the characteristics of the Moto2 racebike very quickly, which as we know is a prototype bike that is also used in the MotoGP World Championship.
Unfortunately there are no official results at the test but at the end of the day Rossi recorded a very interesting lap time, ranking among the best.
Today the work will continue and Rossi will have the opportunity to improve even more with the bike setup and maybe be even faster.
Rossi Moor: “It was really a great emotion to get on a Moto2 for the first time but I felt very comfortable, we worked on the set-up and I think we have already reached a good level that allowed me to make very interesting lap times. I have to thank Massimo Morlacchi and my technicians and mechanics for the great work they have done and will do. I would also like to thank Revesz Racing, PolyglassUSA and my management for giving me this opportunity. I can’t wait for the next race weekend to finally be able to race in the Moto2 category of the JuniorGP.”
Massimiliano Morlacchi: “I am very happy to have first of all a new American rider in my Team. Rossi has shown to have an excellent attitude to adapt quickly on this bike and I expect the progression to continue to be able to reach lap times of absolute importance. There is still a lot of work to do but I am sure that with the technical package that we have and kilometer after kilometer Rossi will reach the objectives set. I thank Rossi, Stefano Favaro and all his management for believing in our project. Welcome Rossi!”
The final part of a fascinating triple-header in MotoGP™ has arrived as we land at the beautiful Motegi for the Motul Grand Prix of Japan! After an afternoon exploring the world renowned Asakusa district and Sensō-ji Temple in Tokyo on Wednesday, there was plenty to get stuck into on media day.
Press Conference 1 saw Championship leader Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) sit alongside title rival Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) before Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) were joined by home hero Takaaki Nakagami (IDEMITSU Honda LCR) for Press Conference 2.
JORGE MARTIN (Prima Pramac Racing)
After Mandalika, do you feel it’s a two-horse race for the World Championship?
“Mandalika was an intense weekend after I crashed on Saturday and then Enea and Marc out of the race on Sunday. It has been a long time since I thought it would be just Pecco and myself for the title, and there are still five races. I think there is still a chance for them, if someone can do it, it’s them, but I feel it’s quite difficult at the moment, so I feel it’s Pecco and myself. For me, it’s a pleasure to be able to fight with Championships like Pecco and Marc and an amazing rider like Enea, so let’s see what will happen. I think they have a chance, but it is difficult.”
Do you feel like it is your time and feel ready this year?
“I will give my 100% as always, I think I am a different rider compared to last season, last year, I felt super strong and maybe even faster than last season, but I am maybe more complete, let’s say. As I said, it’s a pleasure to be here again with Pecco, I remember this a lot from the last part of last season when we were always doing some sort of press conferences together. It is good to be here again for both of us, as we have been the best out of all the riders again, and let’s see what we can achieve.”
Do you see this track as a chance to build on the 21-point lead?
“For sure, last weekend was incredible, even if I lost some points in the Championship, I felt super good after winning again. Since Le Mans was tough, it has been a rollercoaster, I have been quite close to winning on some Sundays, but then I made some mistakes. It was really emotional and good to win, but now we start from zero. I don’t care about last season, last year was a different situation, I was coming from behind, trying to attack, and I won the Sprint and Sunday’s race, but I think this time it will be different and tough. I saw that the weather forecast is unpredictable, so it will be difficult and challenging, so I will give it my best, but we will see.”
FRANCESCO BAGNAIA (Ducati Lenovo Team)
Do you see it as a straight fight between you and Jorge for the title?
“From the start of the season, more or less, we have been making the difference from the rest. It is true that mathematically, it’s possible for Enea and Marc to be Champions. We have to consider them, as myself and Jorge know better than anybody else how easy it is to make a mistake and have a crash this season. It’s something that can change quickly, and I will consider it until it’s no longer mathematically possible. But it is true that half of the season, we are the two that have always been leading the races and the sessions, and I think until Valencia, it will be like this.”
Do you think it’ll be harder to beat Martin this year?
“It looks exactly the same, but in the opposite way around. I think it is nice to battle with Jorge again, it’s always a fair battle, fair fight and fair respect between us. I think it will be the same situation this season, it’s nice to be fighting again like this, and it would be nice to have a battle between us before the finish of the season, but it is a continuation and not a rematch of last season. I think the better rider will win; it was a tough season with mistakes from both of us, but it is true that Jorge was more consistent compared to myself. For the next races, we need to make a little step in performance as we were missing something in the last races, but I am very happy to be here and to fight until the end with Jorge, who I think is super strong.”
Is Motegi a good chance for you to take some more points back his weekend?
“Considering the track and considering the performance of Jorge in Mandalika, we have to look at last weekend in a positive way, gaining three points at a track that suits Jorge. Motegi is a track that I like and a track that suits my rider style better than Mandalika, we have a lot of braking points and acceleration, and it is similar to Austria, which is a track I feel good at. The weather could be different compared to the rest of the season it looks like it could rain on Sunday. We have to be prepared for any situation, and I think our performance could get us a good result and gain points on Jorge.”
PEDRO ACOSTA (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3)
Fantastic result last weekend and on paper a lot of people think this track will suit the RC16, so how hopeful are you to be in the mix for the podium?
“Let’s see, it’s true that normally this track suits our bike a lot and last season, Brad and Jack, without the difficult race, were quite competitive, and the previous year also, Brad was on the podium. We hope that we have improved, and also the way that we are working that we are using, we are hoping to be also closer than we were Mandalika.”
Do you feel you are close to the level to win one of the last five GP?
“It’s true that we have made improvements in the last four/five races, it’s true that in Mandalika, it was important to finish the race as in both races in Misano, we were competitive, but then I crashed in both. Because of this, it was necessary to get more info on race distance, hopefully, we can continue working in this way as we are closer.”
How big is it to have Aki Ajo in your corner in the future?
“I am super happy about this; he is a special character for sure and a character that in the past has helped me a lot. I liked how direct he is, and I was talking this afternoon with him, and I think we will make a good match together.”
FABIO QUARTARARO (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™)
Do you feel you can break into the top six this weekend?
“Well, Misano I was in the top five but let’s see this weekend, especially here there are a lot of acceleration points, we know that we miss some power so it will be crucial. But let’s see if we can get into Q2 tomorrow as it will be nice.”
What are the strengths of your package which can help you this weekend?
“We improved the braking and the edge grip when braking, not in acceleration. I think with that much braking we can be inside the top 10 on Friday as like I said it can change your weekend completely. I hope and I expect to be there on Friday.”
Are you expecting more updates from now until the end of the season and have you been updated on the V4 engine?
“I am not really focused on this engine as right now is the present and we have to give our best to feel the improvement. Yamaha has brought four different chassis in the last five races and it’s already a big thing that we didn’t used to see in the past. Hopefully this weekend the new chassis helps the rear grip.”
TAKAAKI NAKAGAMI (IDEMITSU Honda LCR)
I imagine it will be an emotional weekend for you, how are you feeling about saying goodbye and farewell to the Japanese crowd this weekend?
“There will be sad emotions, of course, it will be my last home GP as a full-time rider. At the moment, I feel that it doesn’t change anything, and I feel the exact same as in the past. Of course, it’s something special because it is my home GP, but nothing more. Day by day, it will change, but at the moment, it is okay, there is no different feeling.”
Tell us about your new helmet for this weekend…
“This time, I wanted to completely change the idea, it is more of an autumn style, and there is also the layout of Motegi on the side, and I mentioned that it is a Japanese GP limited edition. I like it because it is a different idea and the colour, so I love it.”
What is a realistic target for you this weekend?
“On my side, I switched to the new aero package during the race weekend, last weekend from Saturday morning. So on Friday, I used the previous one, which is good because we can understand it better. Then on Saturday and Sunday, we decided to use the new aero package, back to back, and we can clearly see the difference, which is helping the bike during the turning phase, but the bike is a bit more unstable. I was able to feel a positive feeling, but the main issue is a lack of rear grip and then a little bit too much wheelie on the exit of the corner. Here in Motegi, it is a typical stop-and-go track, so I am a little bit worried about the exit of corners, but we already have a plan to try and reduce the wheelie and improve the bike balance, so hopefully, we can find a good feeling as soon as possible.”
Elliot and Behmer Secure Final Premier Class Race Wins of the 2024 Season
The eighth round of the 2024 MRA Championship Series took place at High Plains Raceway over the weekend of September 28-29th on the 2.55-mile Full Course configuration.
Race of the Rockies Qualifying on Sunday saw Kreece Elliot secure pole position with a best time of 1:46.750, followed closely by Brad Hendry at 1:47.617 and Gage Mollman at 1:49.617.
Coming into the final premier class race of the season, Hendry only needed to finish 13th or better to lock up the championship. The Start of Race of the Rockies GTO saw Elliot get the holeshot going into turn one, followed closely by Hendry and Mollman. Exiting turn three, Hendry had a big moment which caused him to run off the track. He was able to keep the bike up and rejoined the race in sixth place and down five seconds from Elliot in the lead. After lap one, Elliot had opened a two second gap back to Mollman in second. Hendry was steadily making his way back through the pack, and by lap three, he was already back in third place. By this point, Elliot had opened a four and a half second lead and was laying down lap times in the low 1:47s. By lap six, Hendry was closing in on Mollman and was within one second, but a small mistake from Hendry going into turn one cost him a bit of time and allowed Mollman to open the gap back up. Elliot continued to extend the gap to second place on every lap and ultimately finished the race 19 seconds ahead of Mollman in second. This was Elliot’s first ever RoR premier class win. Hendry finished out the race in third place and secured the 2024 RoR premier class championship and earned the #1 plate for the 2025 season.
In Race of the Rockies GTU, Justen Behmer was looking to secure his first ever RoR GTU class championship, needing to finish 10th or better. The start of the race saw Behmer get an excellent launch, and take the hole shot going into turn one followed by Dennis Stowers and Jesse Kurk. Behmer had been riding excellent all weekend, and today was no different. Once out in front he got his head down and put down some excellent lap times in the 1:53’s, something no other GTU rider could match. By the end of the third lap, he had already opened a six second lead to Stowers in second. By lap four, Kevin Caputo took over third place from Kurk. On lap seven, Stowers was sitting comfortably in second place until he hit a false neutral going into turn six which caused him to run off the track and bottom out on the rough surface. Fearing a mechanical issue from the off roading experience, Stower pulled into the pit for a quick check of the bike, and returned to the race a short time later in last place. This allowed for Caputo ultimately to take second place, with Kurk finishing in third. With the dominating performance from Behmer, he earned his first ever RoR GTU class championship.

VANCE & HINES HARLEY-DAVIDSON® RACER ROCCO LANDERS WINS AGAIN AT KING OF THE BAGGERS FINAL ROUND AT NEW JERSEY
Harley-Davidson® Factory Racing rider Kyle Wyman Earns Two Podium Results; Finishes Second in Championship
From a news release issued by Harley-Davidson:
MILWAUKEE (September 29, 2024) – RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson® rider Rocco Landers led every lap of the MotoAmerica® Mission King of the Baggers race on Saturday to take his second win of the season in the final double-header weekend of the series at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Milville, N.J. Landers was also the top qualifier for the event and notched his eighth consecutive podium result with a second-place finish on Sunday. Harley-Davidson® Factory Racing rider Kyle Wyman rode a race-prepared 2024 Road Glide® motorcycle to third-place results on Saturday and Sunday and finished second in the championship.
“I always want to win these races so badly,” said Landers. “Today it was so much fun to battle with these guys. I want to give a huge shout-out to the Vance and Hines team for putting me on a great bike again today.”
Landers led from the start on Saturday on the 2.250-mile, 12-turn New Jersey Motorsports Park road course. Early in the race a tight pack of riders including Landers, Wyman, Harley-Davidson® Factory Racing rider James Rispoli, and Factory Indian riders Troy Herfoss and Tyler O’Hara diced for position. On lap five Herfoss moved into second place, and he and Landers opened a gap on Wyman, Rispoli, and O’Hara. On the final lap Herfoss passed for the lead but was immediately overtaken by Landers, who led Herfoss by 0.182 seconds at the finish. Wyman was third, followed by O’Hara, and Rispoli.
On Sunday, it was Wyman getting the jump on the field at the start only to be passed by Herfoss mid-way through the first lap. Herfoss gradually opened a lead on Wyman and Landers, who battled all race. Landers passed Wyman on the last lap to claim second place. Herfoss crossed the finish line 1.733 seconds clear of Landers. Wyman was third.
“I will always fight to the end,” said Wyman, who came up 11 points short of winning the Mission King of the Baggers championship. “Troy rode a great race and I just didn’t have the pace today. I’ve had so many great moments this season. It has been the pinnacle of my career to represent Harley-Davidson and go up against number 17. We’ll be back to challenge for the title next season.”
For the 18-race season, Wyman won six races and finished on the podium seven times. Rispoli finished on the podium four times in his first season with the Harley-Davidson Factory Racing Team.
“It’s been an amazing journey with the team,” said Rispoli following the Sunday race. “We really grew a lot this season and had some great results. I’m super proud, and super humble, to be part of this team making Harley-Davidson racing history. We have picked each other up when we were down. We put blood, sweat, and tears into this season and I’m looking forward to next year.”
After completing the 18-round 2024 MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers series, Herfoss scored 358 points to claim first place. Wyman finishes second with 347 points. RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson® rider Hayden Gillim is third with 224 points, followed by Landers and O’Hara, also with 224 points. Rispoli is sixth with 196 points.
Harley-Davidson® Factory Racing is sponsored by Mission® Foods, Rockford Fosgate®, Brembo®, Öhlins®, Protolabs®, SYN3® lubricants, and Screamin’ Eagle® Performance Parts and Accessories.

Herfoss Crowned In King Of The Baggers Finale At New Jersey Motorsports Park
Troy Herfoss And Hayden Gillim Are The Final 2024 Champions Crowned In The 2024 MotoAmerica Championship
From a news release issued by MotoAmerica:
Troy Herfoss (17) leads Kyle Wyman (33), James Rispoli (43) and Rocco Landers (97) in Sunday’s finale of the Mission King Of The Baggers Championship at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Photo by Brian J. Nelson
MILLVILLE, NJ (September 29, 2024) – S&S/Indian Motorcycle’s Troy Herfoss removed any drama from Sunday’s title decider in the Mission King Of The Baggers finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park as the Australian made the race his own, crossing the finish line as the 2024 Mission King Of The Baggers Champion.
Although the pair were separated by just two points at the start of Sunday’s finale, the winner-take-all thriller between Herfoss and Harley-Davidson Factory Racing’s Kyle Wyman never materialized. Wyman got the start he wanted, led briefly and was soon passed by Herfoss. It didn’t take Wyman long to realize he didn’t have the same pace as his Indian-mounted rival, and it ended up being a tough day at the office for the winningest rider ind Mission King Of The Baggers history.
It didn’t get any easier for Wyman when he was attacked from behind by RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson’s Rocco Landers with the 19-year-old eventually taking second from the New Yorker. Wyman held on for third and he and Herfoss ended the season just 11 points apart.
For Herfoss it was his seventh win of the year and his 14th trip to the podium out of 18 races and he adds the King Of The Baggers title to his three Australian Superbike Championships. He crossed the line 1.7 seconds ahead of Landers after fist pumping his way through the final set of corners.
Landers, in turn, was just .119 of a second ahead of a disappointed Wyman.
Landers late-season burst of speed moved him all the way to fourth in the championship. He actually tied his teammate Hayden Gillim, fifth today, in the points tally, but the spot went to Gillim via the tiebreaker.
Fourth place in Sunday’s finale went to Herfoss’ teammate Tyler O’Hara, just a few tenths ahead of Gillim.
“Firstly, thank you,” Herfoss said. “It’s been an incredible journey. Seriously, twelve months ago I was in this position in Australia and on top of the world, but didn’t know exactly what I wanted from racing moving forward. This incredible opportunity to come and race for a new motorcycle (brand) in King Of The Baggers came up. I wanted to step outside my comfort zone, and that’s exactly what it was. I was extremely uncomfortable from the banks of Daytona through the world championship crowds at COTA to the gravel trap at Brainerd, and to here, this moment winning a championship. It’s been a wild ride and an incredible journey. Kyle (Wyman) has been an amazing competitor, just a true professional in every way. He literally just kept himself in there on his bad days, and on the good days he made me pay. It was exciting. It was stressful. It’s a real highlight for me. Last year was a huge highlight for me, coming back from a big injury to win a Superbike Championship in Australia. But I don’t know if I believed I could do this at the start of the year, so that’s why it makes it pretty special for me.”
Stock 1000 – Seven Is Heaven For Gillim
With a 12-point lead in hand at the start of the last Stock 1000 race of the season, Real Steel Motorsports’ Hayden Gillim didn’t have to win to be crowned champion. But he won anyway.
The win, his seventh of the year, combined with his rival Jayson Uribe finishing third on the OrangeCat BMW M 1000 RR, gave Gillim his second successive Stock 1000 Championship with this one coming on a Honda CBR1000RR-R SP – thus giving Honda its first-ever MotoAmerica title.
Second place went to Jones Honda’s Ashton Yates with the Georgian hounding Gillim for the entire race. Yates waited until the final lap to make a move on Gillim with a pass in turn one on the final lap. But it didn’t stick as Gillim re-passed him immediately. From there it was just a case of defending the inside and keeping Yates behind him.
Yates held on for second, just .049 of a second off the back of Gillim, and it was enough to earn him third in the championship.
Uribe ended a highly successful season of racing with a third-place finish as he narrowly topped FLO4LAW Racing’s Benjamin Smith on the final lap by just .030 of a second.
AMD Motorsport RK Racing’s Richard Kerr was fifth with the Irishman well clear of sixth-placed Bryce Prince on his BPR Yamaha YZF-R1.
“It means a lot,” Gillim said. “Haven’t had a weekend like this since Barber. Had a couple crashes and made it a lot harder on ourselves. Jayson (Uribe) was making us work for it. Ashton (Yates) was really getting it going here at the end. It’s cool to have Honda one and two and wrap up the championship for the Real Steel Southern Honda Powersports team. It’s cool to have the family and everybody here and all the fans. Thanks for sticking it out in the weather.”
Junior Cup – Chapin In A Thriller
On Sunday, it was the final race of the final season for the Junior Cup Championship as the class gives way to the inaugural MotoAmerica Talent Cup Championship in 2025. Two teams and four riders raced in close formation at the front, and who would win, who would reach the podium, and who would finish just off the podium were in question right up until they crossed the finish line.
BARTCON Racing’s Matthew Chapin, who won the championship two weekends ago at Circuit of The Americas, prevailed with the win by just .252 of a second over Bad Boys Racing’s Ella Dreher, while Dreher’s older brother Avery Dreher – who was this year’s defending class champion – crossed the finish line only .018 of a second behind Ella to take the third spot on the podium.
Chapin’s teammate Eli Block finished fourth, just missing out on the podium by .008 of a second.
“Oh, man. That race was really fun,” Chapin said. “I had fun battling with Eli, Avery, and Ella. They were all ripping. It was overall a great race. None of us really made any mistakes. It was really hard to close the gap to Avery at first. He was fast right from the start. I just want to give a huge thanks to (team owner) Colin Barton and (crew chief) Mike Skowronek for everything they’ve done for me this season. My mom and dad, and all my family and friends for coming out. Blud lubricants, KYT, Bison, thank you guys.”
Supersport – Jacobsen Ends It In Victory
With the 2024 Supersport Championship decided on Saturday at New Jersey Motorsports Park, title winner Mathew Scholtz was free to mix it up with the field on Sunday.
And mix it up, he did. It was “just like old times again” in MotoAmerica’s middleweight class as Strack Racing’s Scholtz and Rahal Ducati Moto’s PJ Jacobsen took their familiar spots at the front of the field and proceeded to swap the lead back and forth.
The situation stabilized in the middle laps of the race as Jacobsen established himself in the lead. The New Yorker then stretched his lead at the front and took the checkered flag nearly three-and-a-half seconds ahead of race runner-up Scholtz. Jacobsen’s teammate Corey Alexander finished third, almost 13 seconds behind Scholtz.
“Last night, I didn’t sleep too well,” Jacobsen said. “It was a hard race yesterday for me. I was really struggling, but we kind of went back to the drawing board last night and figured out some stuff that we saw on the data. I felt pretty good in morning warmup, and then, in the race, I felt really good, as well. I was actually surprised that (Mathew) Scholtz was there and made the pass. I was running mid-22s at that point. I was like, ‘Wow, this is pretty fast.’ But it’s been like that all season with him. I was happy to get the win here for the last race of the season and going into winter like that. Especially for the team itself. They worked so hard this first season. So, I’m really proud of the team and everything that they’ve accomplished. We didn’t get the championship, but we definitely fought pretty hard for it. We made some mistakes along the way as a team, also me as a rider. I feel like it was a really good season.
“Having Scholtz as a person to battle with all year, we used to talk more in Superbike and stuff, and I think all the stuff that drew to the competition. It was almost like UFC fighting. It was really good. At the end of the day, that’s how it should be. You don’t want to be laughing and stuff like that with the person you’re battling with. You go in there, and he has to pay his bills, and I have to pay mine. So, at the end of the day, he won a championship, and we’re not really friends on the track. So, I congratulate him and the whole team. Hopefully, he and I can start talking again and be friends. It’s been a long season. Congrats to them. I really enjoyed this whole season, even though it’s been super up-and-down. I had strong moments and bad ones. You look back and you learn from all that stuff. So, we’ll just move forward and get ready for next year.”
MotoAmerica: Altus Motorsports Results from New Jersey Motorsports Park

(Millville, NJ) MotoAmerica wrapped up the 2024 season at New Jersey Motorsports Park. It was a challenging year for Altus Motorsports, but the team showed incredible growth and resilience throughout the season. The team is already looking ahead to 2025, motivated and ready to come bigger and better than ever.
Jake Lewis had a strong showing in Race 1, finishing in 6th place. However, Race 2 proved more difficult, and he crossed the line in 12th
Jake Lewis: “It was a difficult final weekend for us in New Jersey. The weather was inconsistent all weekend and we just struggled for pace every time on track. It was a bummer to lose 3rd in the championship, but we can be proud of our season against some extremely talented competition. Thanks to the whole crew and Altus Motorsports team for the opportunity this season. I had a lot of fun and achieved good results. We will see what happens in 2025!”
Jaret Nassaney showed promise early in the weekend, qualifying 8th for the Supersport races. Unfortunately, a highside crash in Race 1 resulted in a broken collarbone, preventing him from competing in Race 2.
Jaret Nassaney: “Disappointing to leave NJMP in a sling and no results, but we showed that we can run with the front pack when everything works out. 2024 was tough, but I’m ready to put in the hard work this offseason and come back stronger next year.”
Torin Collins had a strong performance to finish out the season, finishing 10th in Race 1 and 11th in Race 2.
George Nassaney: “This season was full of challenges, but I couldn’t be prouder of how our riders and crew came together. We had some tough breaks, but we learned a lot and grew as a team. I wanted to personally Thank Boyd, Rick, Murph, William, Nelson, Sean, and LJ for all of the hard work this season. Without them our riders would not have had the success they had. Jake, Jaret, and Torin competed every weekend at the highest level and I could not be more proud. The Supersport class is no joke. Lot’s of amazing talented riders make this class extremely tough. We are excited for 2025 and I’m already preparing for our team to come back stronger next season.”

Prize Money for Top Open Two Stroke Racers with AHRMA at Barber Vintage Festival
An international road racing icon, along with thousands of fans, will experience the sights, sounds, and smells of two-stroke road racing motorcycles at the 19th annual Barber Vintage Festival on Saturday, October 12.
Grand Marshal Kenny Roberts and his 1980 MotoGP/500cc Grand Prix-winning YRZ500 will be at the event to see that two strokes are still raced competitively in the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association’s (AHRMA) Open Two-Stroke class.
Mojo Yamaha, Rising Sun Cycles, Comstock Energy, and three anonymous AHRMA racers are sponsoring the event and awarding a total of $3,750 for the top finishers in the Open Two-Stroke race on Saturday, October 12.
The first, second, third and fourth finishers in each of these tiers within the race will be awarded prize money: 125cc, 250cc, and 500cc+.
Any two-stroke motorcycle regardless of displacement, number of cylinders, frame type, cooling type, or date of manufacture is eligible for AHRMA’s Open Two-Stroke class.
“The Barber Vintage Festival showcases multiple classes of historic road racing on the world-renowned track, making it a must-attend event for motorcycle enthusiasts and race fans” said Greg Tomlinson, 2024 Chairman of the AHRMA Board of Trustees. “The addition of a cash purse for the Open Two-Stroke Class ensures a deep field of riders for those fans that love the sublime pleasure of the distinct sound and smell of a two-stroke cycle.”
A current competition license from a known organization is required. All competitors are required to practice on Thursday or Friday and meet the qualifying requirements.

American Rossi Moor with MMR team
owner Massimiliano Morlacchi at Motorland Aragon. MMR photo.

That concludes our 2024 season. The MRA would like to thank all the safety crew members, racers, friends, and family that made this season a remarkable success.
The MRA welcomes racers from other clubs across the nation. If you’re a currently licensed racer, we have several reciprocity agreements in place and would love to race with you in 2025. Click here for MRA membership & entry information.

Cpl. Kimo Malott won the drawing.
Camp Pendleton, CA – September 27, 2024 – MV Agusta made a special visit to Camp Pendleton on Saturday, September 21 to donate the iconic, special edition, Dragster RR SCS America to the base. This event marks a start of great partnership between the iconic Italian Motorcycle Art brand and the Marine Corps. The donation was part of a special giveaway open to all active service members stationed on base. MV Agusta is thrilled to support the men and women involved in the military and donating a motorcycle was a gesture of appreciation to those who serve. The motorcycle was on display inside the Pacific Views MCX for one week leading up to the giveaway, allowing military members to see the bike and enter the draw for their chance to win. The giveaway stirred up a lot of excitement and attention on base with over 1,800 hopeful entries.
The Dragster America was specifically picked for this donation due to its unique backstory. The special-edition America model pays homage to the 1973 MV Agusta 750 Sport America, all while celebrating the 50th anniversary. The bold red, white, and blue design plays tribute to the spirit of the United States of America, being freedom, bravery, and patriotism. This special edition also showcases the strong bond MV Agusta has had with the country during the last 50 years. This bike presents itself as the perfect gift to the brave heroes serving.
The event was held in front of the Pacific Views MCX store where the iconic Dragster America was on display along with a few other rider favorite machines like the RUSH Mamba and F3 RR. Throughout the event, many military members passed by sharing motorcycle stories, learning more about the brand, while eagerly anticipating the giveaway drawing of the name. When the time came to draw the winner, Luca Dovesi, General Manager of MV Agusta North America expressed his gratitude to the service members and talked a bit about the giveaway model. “The Dragster America is not just a Motorcycle–it’s a tribute to the bond between Italy and the United States, and to the military, all who symbolize strength, loyalty and freedom”, said Dovesi.
In the giveaway drawing, Cpl. Kimo Malott was the lucky service member called. We are excited to induct Malott into the MV Agusta family and thrilled a dedicated member of the U.S. Marine Corp will be riding our beautiful machine that represents the true meaning of being American.

A “press release” is promotional text issued by a rider, team, company or organization to inform
the public about an event, product, or service from the issuer’s own point of view, and if deemed
to have news value, may be placed on roadracingworld.com as a service to our readers.
A press release is not an article written by Roadracingworld.com staffers. When a post is labeled with the words “press release”, it means that Roadracingworld.com is not responsible for its content and that Roadracingworld.com makes no guarantee that it is accurate. Not all press releases are posted and Roadracingworld.com may reject press releases if the content is too heavy on commercial promotion with little or no news value or if the press release contains obvious errors.

Compliance status
We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience,
regardless of circumstance and ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level.
These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible
to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.
This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific
disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML,
adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email
Screen-reader and keyboard navigation
Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with
screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive
a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements,
alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website.
In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels;
descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups),
and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag
for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology.
To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on
as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Disability profiles supported in our website
Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments
Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over seven different coloring options.
Animations – person with epilepsy can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.
Browser and assistive technology compatibility
We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers).
Notes, comments, and feedback
Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs. There may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to
