WERA Racing At Talladega Gran Prix Raceway in Munford, Alabama, This Coming Weekend. WERA Motorcycle Roadracing brings the show to the 1.4 mile road course at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway facility, located in Munford, AL, August 24-26, 2012. This will be Round 3 of the WERA National Endurance Series, Round 5 of the Michelin National Challenge Series, and Round 9 for the Pirelli Sportsman Southeast Region. The weekend’s activities begin Friday with racer practice, 600 Superstock Expert Qualifying, and Vintage Racing. Registration opens at 7:00 am, practice begins at 8:30 am, Vintage Racing begins at 1:00 pm, and 600 Superstock Expert qualifying starts at approximately 4:40 pm. The qualifier is for the 600 Superstock Expert race on Sunday, August 26. Saturday’s schedule includes morning practice, and the WERA National Endurance 4 hour race in the afternoon. Sunday is the WERA National Challenge & Sportsman Series round with a full day’s worth of exciting and competitive sprint races, including the new Next Moto Champion Formula 3 class. Gates open Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 5 pm, and we race rain or shine! A weekend ticket into the event is $30 for 3 days, $20 for 2 days, and $15 for Sunday only until noon, after 12 pm is $10.
