Updated: Spies, Zalusky Victims Of Theft In California Speedway Paddock

Thieves stole one of AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies’ HJC race helmets from his pit area and Team Green Kawasaki racer Jessica Zalusky’s Kymco scooter was stolen from her garage in the paddock on Friday of the AMA Suzuki Superbike Challenge weekend at California Speedway. Zalusky filed a report with San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies Friday evening. Spies’ theft was reported to the media and California Speedway personnel by Spies’ mother/manager Mary Spies. Update: According to Mary Spies, Ben Spies’ missing helmet suddenly re-appeared in his pit area this morning.
