NESBA is expanding again, this time deeper into the Southeast where the riding season is all year long! Mohnton, PA: NESBA is expanding deeper into the south, adding NOLA and Jennings to their already extensive east coast schedule. NESBA has secured a significant amount of dates at NOLA Motorsports Park and Jennings GP. The events currently on the schedule are: NOLA March 17-18, June 16-17, October 20-21, December 1-2. Jennings GP June 30-31, July 7-8, Sept 30-31, December 8-9 Robert Blandford, NESBA President says “We have been analyzing the market research around the deep south for sometime, with the addition of NOLA it made perfect sense to enter now.” Blandford also adds “We want to be able to give our members the opportunity to ride all year round and these two venues give us that option.” David Jackson, Director of Operations comments “It’s great to see NESBA expand in the southeast. I ride Jennings during the late fall and winter months; I just refuse to go into hibernation. NOLA has all the characteristics in becoming a destination track and our members made it clear, they want it on our calendar.” These dates will officially be on the schedule as soon as we solidify all the contract details. The Northeast Sportbike Association (NESBA) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, formed in 1996 by sportbike enthusiasts and former racers who understand and appreciate the difference between riding fast and riding well. More, from a bulletin sent by NESBA to its Midwest Region Members: NESBA Midwest Member, After heavy consideration, NESBA has announced that it will be suspending operations in the Midwest region for the 2012 track season. There are several factors that lead to this outcome: less than ideal attendance at Midwest track events, unfortunate cancellations due to weather the prior season, and further difficulty negotiating the terms of track rental and securing reasonable dates for this region. NESBA recognizes this will come as a major disappointment to many of its members, especially those most affected. It must be stated that NESBA did not arrive at this decision easily. It just did not make sense to us to continue to operate with 1-2 events per facility, I felt it wouldn’t serve our valued member base affectively. As we enter the 2012 season, NESBA will continue to solidify the track event schedule in all of its regions and adding new events that make sense for the organization and its members at every opportunity. We are hopeful that the future will afford us the opportunity to be blessed with a Midwest schedule. Respectfully, Bob Blandford President NESBA
