Saturday Notes from the 7th Annual Barber Vintage Festival Birmingham, Ala. (October 8, 2011)- The first two days of the seventh annual Barber Vintage Festival at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, have been full of on and off-track excitement. With record-setting crowds thus far, the nation’s fastest growing celebration of vintage bikes is off to a great start. Friday consisted of competition practices, along with kicking off the world famous Barber Swap Meet with 400 plus vendors trading vintage motorcycle parts and bikes. On Saturday, on-going activities in the fan zone were the “Wall of Death” stunt show, vintage fire trucks, “Ducstock” – a large gathering of Ducati motorcycle owners and their machines, along with motorcycle shows from bike clubs around the country. The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum will also feature special displays and technicalseminars. Tickets to the Museum are available separately from Barber Vintage Festival tickets and can be purchased inside.
