Pietri 21st In First Qualifying Session For Italian Superbike Wild Card Ride At Monza

AMA Superstock regular Robertino Pietri, the 2006 Venezuelan Superbike Champion and 2006 Latin American Superbike Champion, was 21st out of 34 entries in the first qualifying session for a round of the Italian Superbike Championship at Monza Saturday. Pietri, a wild card entry, missed Friday’s rain-soaked practice and took his first laps of Monza Saturday morning. Marco Borciani was fastest in the session on a Ducati at 1:49.449. Pietri’s best time was 1:56.042.
