ENERGICA’S RESILIENCE PAVED THE WAY FOR MOTOE TO RESUME

We are eleven days away from the official FIM Enel MotoE World Cup test at Valencia and Energica has completed the rebuild of all Ego Corsa machines which will storm the Ricardo Tormo Circuit for three days (June 17-19), before taking on the opening round of the series at the Sachsenring (5-7 July).

Testing is a familiar word for the Single Manufacturer of MotoE, as the racing department of the Modena-based company has spent plenty of time out on track to evaluate each and every race motorcycle that was rebuilt since the happenings in Jerez.

Eight days of testing with 80 laps completed each session, for an outstanding total of 2208km covered; the results confirmed that all bikes rebuilt are absolutely identical to each other in terms of performance, which is key to a one-make championship such as MotoE. Some updates regarding electronic settings were also applied, with the aim to improve the already-high standards of safety of the Ego Corsa.

Speaking of safety, our Official Test Rider Alessandro Brannetti had a crash last week while riding the Ego Corsa at the Cremona Circuit. As you can see by the videos below, the bike tumbled and rolled on the gravel trap a few times.

The last image, however, shows how little damage the bike suffered in the incident, which proves once again how solid and safe the Ego Corsa – just like every Energica motorcycle – is.
