KWR Ducati Team heads to Wisconsin for round two with title sponsor KATO Fastening Systems

TUCSON, Ariz. (June 24) — The KWR Ducati Team heads to Road America once again for the second round of the MotoAmerica Superbike championship. KATO Fastening Systems will title sponsor the team as they head to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin with rider/team owner Kyle Wyman currently sitting 4th in season standings.

KATO Fastening Systems is the industry leader in tangless CoilThread inserts, thread tools and supplies, and partnered with KWR in 2019 to support the team with an array of products to keep the vicious Ducati Panigale V4 R in top shape for Superbike racing.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Road America once again for round two,” Wyman said. “To have two rounds at my favorite track on the schedule is a treat, and to have KATO on board as title sponsor we are looking forward to fighting for the podium in both races, rain or shine. We also look forward to welcoming fans back to the races for the first time in 2020.”

“KATO Fastening Systems is glad to be sponsoring Kyle Wyman and the KWR Team again for the 2020 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship season,” said Al Qaqish, President of KATO Fastening Systems. “It feels like the entire world has been on hold for the past few months, so we’re thrilled to see MotoAmerica kick start the 2020 season with back to back rounds at Road America. Kyle is healthy, fit, and the KWR team has been working hard preparing for the 2020 season. We’re looking forward to a great season, and happy to be able to support Kyle and team.”

The addition of fan attendance for round two is a positive checkpoint for MotoAmerica as a whole, and bodes well for future events in the anticipation of holding a 10-round series amidst a global pandemic. The KWR team will be taking strict measures to maintain social distancing and sanitation while allowing fans to view and interact with the team.

“While we are excited by the prospect of having fans back at our events, and we know how anxious our fans are to get back to the races,” Wyman said. “We have to impose strict guidelines to ensure the safety of all competitors, fans and team members. As a result, we will be requiring masks in the vicinity of our paddock space and disallowing any fans to enter our footprint. Unfortunately, this makes it so that we cannot host our KW Army hospitality space to members.”

The KW Army is a fan program that allows people to have their name displayed on the back of the KWR Ducati Superbike, and grants access to the KWR Hospitality unit for every round of the series.

“For now, it’s important to keep our hospitality program closed until we can find a safe way to host our loyal KW Army members,” Wyman added. ” We look forward to putting on a great show for the fans at Road America and all of the viewers who can watch our races live on Fox Sports (FS1) both on Saturday and Sunday.”

You can follow the MotoAmerica championship via MotoAmerica Live+, or watch the races LIVE on Fox Sports 1 (FS1). Check your local listings for race times.
