Edmonton Motorcycle Roadracing Association announces 2017 race season schedule.

The EMRA is western Canada’s largest and most competitive motorcycle road racing club. The club has continued to grow and expand, the 2017 racing season will be held at Castrol Raceway the largest racing facility in western Canada. This will be the fourth season of racing at the 14 turn, 2.7km road course track.

The EMRA will continue to promote safe, competitive road racing, and feature riders and classes ranging from Novice Open to Expert Superbike. In 2016 Mike Zottmann successfully defended the Expert Superbike title. Trevor Bernhardt captured the Expert 600cc Superbike title and looks to join the Superbike grid aboard a 1000cc bike for the 2017 season. The Expert grids have become increasingly competitive with a number of skilled, experienced riders looking to compete for the 2017 Superbike title. The racing promises to be as close and exciting as ever. The 2017 season will feature 6 rounds of racing from May to September. Each race weekend will also feature a track night for street riders and racers, hosted by Castrol Raceway the Friday prior to each round.

The 2017 competition schedule is as follows:

Round 1 May 27-28

Round 2 June 23-24

Round 3 June 25

Round 4 July 29-30

Round 5 September 1-2

Round 6 September 3
