AMA Pro Road Racing Competitor Bulletin #2012-22 To: All AMA Pro Road Racing Competitors Date: October 17, 2012 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Mandatory Brake Lever Guards Starting with the first round of AMA Pro Road Racing competition in 2013, front brake lever guards will be mandatory for all classes. No later than December 1, 2012, AMA Pro Racing will post an “Approved Lever Guard” list in the Competitor Information section of the AMA Pro Racing website, located at ~http://www.amaproracing.com/competition~. Lever Guards do not need to appear on the Eligible Equipment List; however they must appear on the Approved Lever Guard list. This is to ensure that only lever guards of a suitable quality and construction are being used on the race track. For inclusion on the Approved Lever Guard list, information and a sample must be submitted to: AMA Pro Racing Attn: Technical Department 525 Fentress Blvd., Suite B Daytona Beach, FL 32114 [email protected] Information should include: pricing, availability, web link and suppliers. Also, a sample will be requested and must be supplied for potential consideration. It will be returned in the same condition in which it was received.
