After a long journey home to California, Hunter is resting comfortably. Hunter has seen two orthopedic specialists, and they both say the same thing: “We need to let nature take its course.” It is looking pertinent that Hunter will lose his big toe and part of his third [on his left foot]. Right now the main concern is that he won’t lose part of his foot with them. Today, June 13, Hunter will be starting a wound healing program at St. Mary’s Hyperbaric Chamber in Apple Valley, California. This is an oxygen treatment that will speed up the healing process. We will be working at this every day to ensure the best healing possible. Hunter is optimistic and eager to get back to racing. Coffin said: “I would like to thank first and foremost my teams, Team Outlaw Racing and ADR Racing, and Jason Paredez, Constance Weekly and Taylor for being by my side every minute in the hospital. The whole crew of ADR Racing for your guidance and support. And to all my sponsors: Lay’d Out, ACT Racing, GP Bound, KBC Helmets, Next Moto Champion, Trackoholics, FLY, Diablo Racing, Fastrack Riders, DOGraphix, ChaChaCha Motorsports, Motul, superbike Chassis. And the support of Friends and Family!!!”
