Eitan Butbul has been a fan of motorcycle road racing for decades, traveling from his home in Southern California to MotoGP races in Europe several times a year. But he’s always wanted to do more than just sit in the grandstands. With his business doing well, Butbul reached out to LCR Honda Racing and started providing a modest amount of sponsorship to one of the most highly regarded satellite operations in the MotoGP paddock.
A few years later, Butbul now owns his own Moto2 team, American Racing Moto2; manages American Joe Roberts, who races for the team; and has his sights on becoming deeply involved in the premier class of the sport.
