American junior racer Maverick Johnson has been selected to compete with the Aspar KSB Academy Team in the Pre-Moto4 category (recently renamed) of the 2026 ESBK (Spanish Superbike Championship), earning a place within one of the most respected rider development programs in international motorcycle racing.

Johnson secured the opportunity following a standout 2025 season in the United States, highlighted by a third-overall finish in the FIM Mini Cup USA GP160 Championship with 11 podiums in 15 races, second and third overall in the MotoAmerica Mini Cup GP110 and GP160 Championships (including 1 race win), and championships in all three Texas Mini Cup GP classes while setting class lap records.

“Super excited to race in the Pre-Moto4 category,” said Johnson. “We already had our first test and it felt like being on a factory team. I already love the bike, the team, and Spain. I can’t thank my family and all of my supporters enough for making this possible.”

Maverick would like to thank Mom and Dad, Star GP Academy, Eleven Motorsports, Shiloh Services, Bison, Dunlop, Texas Mini Cup, KartMoto, VnM Sport, Matt, Paco/Bedstemor, and Alonzo for their continued support. Please inquire for opportunities to support this program, including Title Sponsorship.
