Robarts Topples Own Track Record at Mission Raceway Park for Pirelli’s Fifth Absolute Motorcycle Track Record of the Season

Robarts Captures Pirelli Tire Credit on DIABLO™ Superbike Slicks

ROME, Ga. – Pirelli Tire North America congratulates Adam Robarts on capturing the brand’s fifth absolute motorcycle track record of 2019. Competing aboard a BMW S 1000 RR, Robarts set the track record at Mission Raceway Park in Mission, British Colombia during the sixth round of the Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club Championship (WMRC) on Sunday, July 14.

“I’ve been working with Adam ever since I was a trackside vendor myself,” said Oscar Solis, road racing manager, Pirelli. “His work ethic and dedication is second to none. It’s very obvious that he continues to work towards being a better rider every year. Congrats Adam!”

Robarts’ new lap record of 1:08.202 was set during the Formula Ultra race, besting his own previous track record of 1:08.540 that he set on Pirelli tires in July of 2017. Robarts BMW was equipped with Pirelli DIABLO™ Superbike 120/70-17 SC2 front and 200/60-17 SC0 rear tires.

“It’s such an incredible feeling to have everything working perfectly,” said Robarts. “I felt good all weekend and my Pirelli DIABLO™ Superbike slicks performed flawlessly, even while I continued to push the edge. The tires I used for the track record had time on them from a previous race, including 17 laps on the rear, which is a true testament to how good these Pirelli’s are.”

Pirelli continues to offer a tire credit prize for setting a new motorcycle track record and Robarts efforts made him the fifth rider to earn the reward this year.
