Michelle Lindsay, owner of TOBC Racing, which was won multiple Daytona 200 races, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is due to have surgery on June 14 in Virginia, according to a post she made on her Facebook page earlier today.

That post reads:

“On May 24th I was officially diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.

“This Friday I will have a Whipple surgery to remove the tumor. We won’t know the true next steps until the tumor biology is analyzed.

“I’m as ready as I can be for this next battle in life. I’m so grateful I’ve been able to see so many people I care about recently and am lucky to have my amazing family, friends, race family, and work family in my corner.

“As I embark on a journey no one wants to make I know I have God, Hope, Love, and my kick ass “network” on my side.

“Huge thanks to my “behind the scenes” cancer team for all that you have done for me and for all you are doing to hold my hand, keep me sane, and to remind me that I’m tougher than I realize.

“A Special Thank you to Kimberly Rhee Spitz, Steve Spitz, Lisa Galkin, Jeff Galkin, Patti Anderson, Eleanor Lindsay, Dale Lindsay, Charles Lindsay, Audrey Roberts, Katie Askins Hartwell, Erin Jones Berry,Rebecca Hayes Prosser, and mostly my Super Husband Myles Wilson.”

People wishing to send messages to Lindsay can do so via her Facebook page, www.facebook.com/michelle.a.lindsay.7, and they may also send cards and flowers to her at Inova Fairfax Hospital, in Falls Church, Virginia. Lindsay expects to be in the hospital for at least the next week.

Lindsay’s TOBC Racing won the Daytona 200 three times (2015, 2017, and 2018) with rider Danny Eslick.
