2 MEN”¦2 BIKES”¦20,000 MILES”¦EWAN McGREGOR AND CHARLEY BOORMAN STAR IN LONG WAY ROUND The Adventure of a Lifetime Rolls onto DVD December 6, 2005 from Goldhil Entertainment CAMARILLO, CA. — The adventure of a lifetime comes to DVD this December 6, with the DVD release of Long Way Round, from Goldhil Entertainment. Long-time pals Ewan McGregor (Star Wars, Moulin Rouge, The Island) and Charley Boorman set off on their motorcycles taking the “long way round” the world: west along the rough terrain of Euro-Asia, across the Bering Straight, and covering 20,000 miles before completing their journey in New York City. “This is an exceptionally entertaining title that has a lot of cross-over appeal. In one respect it’s full of action, adventure, exploration and discovery, and yet there’s also great deal of political intrigue, suspense and most of all, a great friendship,” said Bill Perrault, Senior Vice-President of Marketing, Goldhil Entertainment. “Ewan and Charlie take us on a trip that most of us can only dream of.” Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman (director John Boorman’s son) met on the set of Serpents Kiss in 1997, and quickly formed a strong friendship through their mutual passion for motorcycles. After winning the British Superstock in 2000, the dream of a round the world bike adventure was born. After four months of preparation getting together a crew and support vehicles, Ewan and Charley began their 20,000 mile road-trip. The seven-episode, 2-disc set contains the entire adventure as well as numerous extras including never-before-seen footage, photo gallery and exclusive interviews with these two best friends. From below zero temperatures and dangerous run-ins in remote lands to breathtaking landscapes and an odd cast of characters, these two men complete what is surely the journey of a lifetime.
