Ohlins U.S.A. has posted cash contingency prizes for privateer racers in the 2006 AMA Formula Xtreme Championships. Ohlins U.S.A. will pay $1000 cash per event in 2006, spread out over the top seven race finishers who are privateers. Ohlins U.S.A. has designated which racers in the Formula Class (like Miguel Duhamel, Eric Bostrom, etc.) do not qualify as privateers. To be eligible, racers must use Ohlins product and run Ohlins stickers. For complete details, contact Ohlins U.S.A. or AMA Pro Racing, who is administering the contingency through its Bonus Awards program. The contingency program is expected to be spread among more AMA classes and to WERA National and ASRA events in future seasons, according to Ohlins U.S.A. For additional information, contact AMA Pro Racing at (614) 856-1924 or Ohlins U.S.A. Technical Support Manager David Behrend at (828) 243-7240.
