AMA Pro Racing has released a revised schedule for Sunday’s activities at Infineon Raceway. 10:00 10:10 a.m. Repsol Lubricants Superstock Practice 10:20 10:30 a.m. Pro Honda Oils Supersport presented by Shoei Helmets Practice 10:40 10:50 a.m. AMA Superbike presented by Parts Unlimited Practice 11:10 a.m. Repsol Lubricants Superstock Race (17 laps) 12:15 p.m. AMA Superbike Championship presented by Parts Unlimited (28 laps) 1:15 p.m. Pro Honda Oils Supersport presented by Shoei Helmets Race (17 laps) At 8:15 a.m. local time, rain was still lightly falling at Infineon Raceway, but crews of workers were beginning to remove standing water from the racing surface. According to Infineon Raceway V.P. Media Relations John Cardinale, it takes two hours to dry the full road course. A small window in the weather has been forecast, and AMA Pro Racing is hoping to run all three of Sunday’s races within that window. The cut-off time when racing will be abandoned Sunday is 4:00 p.m. local time, which would, if it was not raining, give the track enough time to dry the track and get in the second Superbike race before the track’s 7:00 p.m. noise curfew. Getting in the second Superbike race is AMA Pro Racing’s priority. Unofficially, well-placed sources with Infineon Raceway and AMA Pro Racing have said the possibility of racing on Monday is very slim. Kawasaki is scheduled to have a media track day Monday at Infineon Raceway.
