Derek Wagnon back on Pirellis onboard the HSBK Aprilia Racing RSV4 Factory Houston, TX., February 22, 2013- After a successful 2012 season, HSBK Racing and rider Derek Wagnon are back and ready to dominate the CMRA points championships. Wagnon showed what he had to offer last season capturing the CMRA Superbike C and Heavy Weight Twins championships. This year the team is stepping up and running the liter-classes onboard the HSBK Aprilia Racing RSV4 Factory. The team made the decision to switch to Pirellis based on the success of Pirelli and Aprilia Racing in WSBK. In addition, while on Pirellis Wagnon won Superstock C and Superstock B, coming within tenths of a second of multiple track records in 2011. South Central Race Center (SCRC) owner, John Hutchinson remarked, “Derek has always been like family to us. We have watched him grow from 125s to 600s and are excited to see him racing in the 1000 class this year. We know the partnership between HSBK Racing and SCRC will lead to new track records and multiple championships this year.” Wagnon is currently training vigorously with teammate Travis Ohge in preparation for the AMA Daytona 200. The riders will compete in the AMA SuperSport West Championship on board Suzuki GSXR-600’s.
