Funeral services for Kenny Anderson, who died from injuries suffered in an AFM race at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, are scheduled for Sunday, March 24 in Hollywood, California. The services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hollywood Forever Funeral Home, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood, CA., according to a post on Anderson’s Facebook page. Anderson, 12, was racing a Kawasaki Ninja 250 with AFM on March 3. Anderson had won the 250cc Production race and had set a new Buttonwillow lap record for the class at 2:05.294. Later in the day, when racing in the 500cc Twins class, Anderson crashed in the final turn and suffered a head injury. Anderson never regained consciousness and was removed from life support earlier this week. Anderson began racing Blata pocket bikes, and won SCMiniGP Rookie of the Year as well as championships with SCMiniGP, SMRRC, and AMMA. He then moved up to an NSR50 and an NSR65, winning multiple races and championships on both. Anderson raced a pair of Honda RS125 chassis fitted with 150cc and 145cc four-stroke motors, and then moved to Honda RS125s. Anderson was the reigning Heavyweight Twins Superbike Novice and Formula 2 Novice Champion with WERA West. Anderson is survived by his father Eric, his mother Jiew, his brother David and his sister Narissa.
