Riding a QJMOTOR Gresini Racing Kalex on Pirelli control tires, the Spaniard covered the 2.9-mile (4.7 km) course in 1:42.860. That was fastest enough to lead the field of 32 riders and to eclipse Remy Gardner’s 2021 All-Time Lap Record of 1:42.977.
American Joe Roberts was fourth in the session with a time of 1:43.320 on his OnlyFans American Racing Team Kalex.
