SuperSport Int’l Ltd. to broadcast WSBK and WSS

Friday 22 January 2014 –Dorna WSBK is glad to announce the renewal of the exclusive media rights agreement with SuperSport International Ltd. to broadcast the eni FIM Superbike World Championship in sub-Saharan Africa for further five years, until 2019.

Being a region where the spectators are World Superbike enthusiasts, it is crucial for the promoter of the Championship to maintain this successful long-term partnership.

The agreement concerns both the TV broadcast and the digital platforms of SuperSport International, that will also transmit the FIM Supersport World Championship qualifying sessions, for the first time ever.

SuperSport International are making their best effort to customise the TV product for the sub-Saharan Africa audience and a dedicated pre-show programme will be produced.

From now onwards, thanks to SuperSport, WSBK fans from home will enjoy all the action on track of the production-based series, supporting their local heroes in the competition, as more than one South African rider will be on the starting grid in 2015.

The eni FIM Superbike World Championship will back on track in Australia with the season opener scheduled for next 20-22 February.
