Ricky Orlando Inducted Into Colorado Motorsports Hall Of Fame

Denver, CO – MRA racer Ricky Orlando was inducted into the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame on Friday, October 5, 2018 at a ceremony held at the Wings Over Rockies Air & Space Museum. Ricky joins an accomplished class of ten Colorado racing legends inducted for 2018.

Ricky started his road racing career in 1975 and won MRA Race of the Rockies Championships in 1982, 2001,2003, 2007 and 2009. His long career saw him race internationally at the Suzuki 8-Hour World Championship and Macau Grand Prix. In 1998, Ricky competed in the World Superbike Round at Laguna Seca, finishing 13th, and ended the season with championship points in World Superbike, AMA Superbike, Formula USA and the MRA. He had numerous top 10 finishes in the Daytona 200, including a 6th place finish in 2004 and at one point held the record for most laps and miles at the event. Ricky is still racing currently after 43 years and captured 3 class championships with the MRA in 2018.
