Yamaha Hosting Several Events During Red Bull Grand Prix Of The Americas

Cypress, CA – April 4, 2014 – Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is pleased to announce its complete schedule of customer-focused activities for the April 11-13 Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, TX.

Many of the activities during the weekend will take place in the Yamaha Display, which is located in the support paddock at the Circuit.

The Yamaha Display will be open on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and on Sunday, April 13 from 8 AM to 5 PM. Along with all the 2014 Yamaha and Star motorcycles on display, the iconic, retro 2015 SR400; the adventure-touring 2014 Super Ténéré; and the new 2014 Super Ténéré ES with electronically adjustable suspension will all be featured.

A favorite for kids and parents alike, Yamaha’s Learn-To-Ride Program gives children under the age of 12 the opportunity to try out a TT-R50and TT-R110in a controlled environment, complete with instruction and supervision by American Supercamp’s Danny Walker and his expert team. Riders of all abilities are encouraged to experience the TT-Rs with their class-leading features such as electric start, automatic-clutch transmissions, and YZ styling. The TT-R Demos will take place Friday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Yamaha Display. Full safety gear is provided, and all riders will receive a complimentary digital photo of their experience.

Also featured at the Yamaha Display will be a special YZF-R1 and R7 Custom Bike Exhibit. The collection includes several radically modified R1s, as well as a few R1 and R7 racebikes and even Damon Buckmaster’s Graves Yamaha “R7/R1” Hybrid, the bike that was banned from AMA Formula Xtreme competition.

A live DJ will also be on hand at the Yamaha Display, playing music throughout the weekend and giving away prizes like Free Yamaha MotoGP Commemorative Visors (check the schedules posted at the Yamaha Display for giveaway times).

On Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13, from 10 AM to 3 PM each day, additional fun kids’ activities include face painting, temporary tattoos, and a clown will be creating balloon sculptures on request.
