Wood Wins Fastest Pro Thunder Heat Race And Takes Pole At Loudon

Local hero Eric Wood won the fastest of two Pro Thunder qualifying heat races at Loudon on a Keystone Learning Systems Ducati, holding off Tilley Buell's David Estok by 0.463-second. Wood's average speed was 76.380 mph with an average lap time of 1:15.412, vs. Estok's 76.156 mph and 1:15.534. The time of the 5-lap race was 6 minutes, 19.262 seconds.<BR><BR>Tilley Buell's Tripp Nobles won the other heat race by 0.713-second over Munroe Motors' Tom Montano on a Ducati. Nobles' average speed was 74.896 mph with an average lap time of 1:16.907 vs. Montano's 74.661 mph and 1:17.149.
