NJMP announces new additions, partnerships ahead of Vintage Motorcycle Festival

2nd annual event, to feature AHRMA racing, scheduled for July 11-13, 2014 at Thunderbolt Raceway in Millville

MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park announced today several new partnerships set to enhance the facility’s second annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival, featuring the American Historic Motorcycle Racing Association.

Will Stoner will be coordinating the swap meet and club corral elements of the 2014 NJMP Vintage Motorcycle Festival, set for July 11-13, 2014 at Thunderbolt Raceway in Millville, New Jersey.

The Chagrin Falls, Ohio native brings over twenty five years of vintage motorcycle event experience to this year’s event, which will also feature the American Historic Motorcycle Racing Association for the second straight season.

“I’m more than thrilled for the opportunity to work with New Jersey Motorsports Park and AHRMA to grow this event,” said Stoner. “The Mid-Atlantic region has always been a hotbed of vintage motorcycle activity and it deserves a top-caliber showcase to celebrate that heritage.”

The swap meet is open to all brands of motorcycles, parts and memorabilia aged 1989 and older. In addition, leather goods and modern accessories will be available in the “Merchandise Midway”.

20’ x 20’ swap meet spaces will cost $100 each and will include two weekend event passes per space. Swap meet vendors will be able to camp on their spaces.

The Motorcycle Classics Vintage Bike Show will also be a new addition to this year’s event – presented by the popular Motorcycle Classics publication.

“We’re lucky to witness a lot of great vintage motorcycle events, and the Vintage Motorcycle Festival on Thunderbolt Raceway at New Jersey Motorsports Park is going to be incredible. The 12-turn circuit is fantastic, and AHRMA vintage motorcycle racing is just amazing, with bikes normally found only in museums tearing it up out on the track,” said Richard Backus, Editor-in-Chief of Motorcycle Classics.

“We can’t wait to see what classic motorcycles come out of the woodwork for the Motorcycle Classics Vintage Bike Show at the festival, because we know there will be some amazing machines.”

Additional announcements regarding event sponsorship, fan activities, and race details are forthcoming.

“NJMP is very pleased to announce our partnership with Mr. Stoner ahead of the Vintage Motorcycle Festival,” NJMP general manager Brad Scott said. “With the Festival in its second year, we want to grow it all – participation, spectators, swap meet volume, everything. We feel that Will and his expertise will be a great asset to this event.”

Club corrals will be open to all vintage motorcycle clubs and organizations. The spaces will be free to any club that registers by July 3, 2014. Clubs will be able to park their bikes, sell memberships and club regalia, as well as have a picnic for members. Participants need only to purchase an event ticket to use the Club Corrals.
