Dealers Compete, Enthusiasts Choose Winner In The “Battle Of The Bolts”

Cypress, CA – February 27, 2015 – The Bolt, like all Star Motorcycles, was designed and engineered for easy personalization and customization, and the mantra, “We build it, you make it your own” could not be more true to form.

To help people see how unique the Bolt can be, and how easy it is for owners to personalize it, Star Motorcycles created the “Battle of the Bolts” contest where dealers across the country competed against each other in building the coolest custom Bolts on the planet.

Starting with stock Bolt motorcycles, competing dealers added Star Custom Accessories, custom paint, and much more to create unique expressions of their style and ingenuity.

Public voting determined six regional “Battle of the Bolts” winners, who advanced to a final round of voting to determine the national winner.

“Our hats go off to all of our participating dealers,” commented Yamaha’s Marketing Manager David Docktor. “Our dealers were enthusiastic in their support of, and participation in, the Contest. We were thrilled that so many customized Bolts were entered from around the country. All of the bikes entered have a unique style and personality.”

Bob Weaver Yamaha of North Tonawanda, NY, won First Place for their Bolt Bobber creation; Al’s Cycle Inc. of Hamilton, MT, won Second Place with their Bolt Scrambler entry; and Wizard of Wheels Yamaha in Crete, IL, took Third Place with their Bolt Café Racer. First Place Winner: Bob Weaver Yamaha with the contest grand prize – a new Bolt.
