TTXGP confirms North American Final 2011 at the Miller Motorsport Park in association with the AMA Utah Sport Bike Association (UtahSBA)
TTXGP, the world's premier electric motorcycle championship is pleased to bring the North American Final 2011 to Miller Motorsports for the Labor Day weekend, Sept 3/4, 2011. A thrilling finale to the 2011 US season and qualification to the TTXGP World Championship Final 2011.
In partnership with the Utah Sport Bike Association (UtahSBA), the FIM North American Union/AMA sanctioned TTXGP North American Final will crown the national champion for 2011.
The TTXGP North America 2010 champions returns to defend the title but face considerable competition from Brammo who are currently leading the championship points table. 2010 champions, Lightning motorcycles team boss Richard Hatfield commented, "The Lightning team is looking forward to defending our title. We were on the podium in the last round at Laguna Seca despite having had the bikes back in the US only ten days prior and having just one-track session to prepare. We are excited for a rematch now both the TTXGP and TTX75 bikes are dialed in, and looking forward to the race."
"UtahSBA is honoured to have the TTXGP racing with us. They're breaking into new areas of motorcycle technology that will likely define the future of our sport, and it will be exciting to see them in action. We think the teams will find Miller Motorsports Park a fantastic, world-class circuit and facility," said Kory Cowan, UtahSBA.
"We are pleased to build on the success of Laguna Seca and to give a thrilling final to the TTXGP 2011 season at such an iconic location" said Azhar Hussain, CEO of TTXGP "Our thanks to the all the partners involved in helping us making this happen and we look forward to being hosted by UtahSBA and crowning a TTXGP North American Champions 2011."
